What doesn't kill you actually makes you a masterpiece.
In biology, we call this Hormesis.
It’s the bizarre science where a tiny dose of toxin creates a massive amount of power.
Think about a morning run: you’re skyrocketing your heart rate and flooding your body with "harmful" free radicals.
Yet, that biological "damage" is exactly how you get fit and healthy.
Low-dose stress doesn't break you; it upgrades your entire biological defense system.
But here is the twist: Adversity is simply part of the game of life.
In Sri Anand Yoga (SAY), we view these stressors like the "hard bowling" delivered to a player on a cricket pitch.
You don't walk off the field because the bowling is fast; you accept the challenge for the sake of playing.
We spend our lives sprinting away from discomfort, effectively "protecting" ourselves into a state of weakness.
We treat life like a "hermit" watching from the stands, but you can't evolve unless you are actually on the playground.
SAY teaches us to remain playfully aware of the stressor without getting stressed out.
Like a true player, we acknowledge the sweat, the injuries, and the setbacks as natural elements of the match.
Your character isn't built in a sanctuary; it’s forged in that "zone of tolerance" where the game gets difficult.
The very adversity you are cursing today is the training ground for the warrior you will be tomorrow.
A "little bad" is actually the secret to your greatest good.
Stop watching from the sidelines.
Step onto the pitch and get stronger from the struggle.
The purpose of life is not just to survive.
It is also not just to "endure" the storms, and it is definitely not "suffering" for some "good".
It is to engage in the JOY OF LIVING.
